Some Things You Should Know About Our Homes

CLEANING FEE? NO
On arrival, you will find clean sheets folded at the end of each bed, so you'll need to make the beds on arrival. When you depart, we ask that you leave the sheets clean and folded on each bed, as you found them (or at least start the laundry, as noted below). Full laundry facilities are found in each rental.
Some agencies charge a non-refundable "cleaning fee" of $50-$100, even while expecting you to perform a minimal cleanup before you leave. We do not.
Instead, we do ask that you (1) leave the house tidy; (2) start the dishwasher; and (3) at least start the laundry before you depart.
You will find a posted list of housekeeping tasks that must be completed before the next renters. In essence, you have the CHOICE to do as much -- or as little -- of this as you wish... leaving the rest for the housekeeper, knowing that only the first ONE or TWO hours (3 hours at #21) of housekeeping (depending on the property) is included in your rental cost.
Any cleaning/laundry required OVER the allotted time is simply deducted from your fully REFUNDABLE cleaning/damage deposit, at the rate of $20 per hour.
As an example, if you prefer the housekeeper to do most of the cleaning, it will cost you $20 or $40, in a typical situation, after the free hours included in your rent.
This way, you save money by paying only for the cleaning that you choose NOT to do, rather than a large, non-refundable fee.
- Linens and paper products, as well as all cleaningsupplies,
are provided. Personal bath and hand soaps are not furnished.
- All kitchens are fully equipped. However, you may wish to bring along
a favorite cooking utensil from home if it's essential.
- Basic condiments are available in most rentals for your use.
- Outdoor (deck) furniture is available at all rentals; Bar-B-Qs
as indicated in "Details."
- All homes have telephones for local calls; long distance calling
requires a calling card.
- All homes feature electric heat, in addition to any wood heat
noted below. Firewood is not provided (except at #20), but you
may purchase bundled firewood locally if desired.
- PET and SMOKING RESTRICTIONS are noted in "Details."
- Crib and high chair available at no extra charge.

- PICK UP KEYS and check in at YACHATS
VILLAGE RENTALS, INC., 230 Aqua Vista Loop (corner of
Highway 101). We are located just south of the Adobe Motel on
the west side of 101. Look for the sign "VACATION
RENTALS" by
the highway.
- On arrival, the BALANCE DUE (Total Rent less Advance Deposit, either 10% or 8% room tax, depending on location (see individual listing) and the refundable Cleaning/Security Deposit) is payable in full by cash, check or credit card.

- The refundable Cleaning/Security Deposit will be returned to you
by mail within 10 days after you leave, upon satisfactory inspection
of your rental.
- All homes are housekeeping units. One or two hours of free cleaning
are provided after each stay. Any cleaning required OVER
THIS TIME (2 hours at #2, 5, 16, and 22, and 3 hours
at #21) will be deducted from the Cleaning/Security Deposit at
$20.00/hour, with a 1-hour minimum charge.
- Full housekeeping service is available (with 24 hours notice
prior to checkout) at an additional charge.
- Our receipt of your Advance Deposit, and your registration upon arrival, will certify your agreement that each member of your party will comply with all policies listed herein and posted in your rental home.
CANCELLATIONS: Reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date will forfeit the Advance Deposit unless the house can be re-rented for the entire cancelled period (a $25. Cancellation Fee will be charged). Advance Deposits for holiday periods and for reservations made more than six months in advance are subject to a 50% Cancellation Fee. No refunds will be made for early departure. |
Additional Information and Policies
- 2-Night minimum required; 3-NIGHT MINIMUM ON HOLIDAYS; 4-week maximum.
- Rates quoted are year-round. Four-week rates may be available, depending on the house and season; please inquire.
- Maximum OCCUPANCY and VEHICLES allowed vary by house and are STRICTLY ENFORCED (see the details under each house listing). This includes day visitors, unless prior permission has been obtained from the rental office. Tents are prohibited outdoors by ordinance within the city limits of Yachats.
- Sorry, motor home and boat parking is NOT AVAILABLE. (except at #11)
- Violation of any federal or state law, company policy or house rule is grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
- Sorry, we do not rent to primary renters under 21 years of age.
- Lost and found items will be held for 30 days only, and are subject to a $10.00 retrieval and handling fee, in addition to packing charges and shipping costs.
- Many of our rental homes are very popular and we suggest early reservations (taken up to ONE YEAR in advance).
- Rates, terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
