It is with a heavy heart that we share that Michael Medford passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024. He was abundantly grateful to all of his guests and homeowners over the years. Thank you for being part of his beautiful life. He will be missed greatly by all of us.

If you have an existing reservation, please know that we are honoring those reservations. Unless we contact you directly with new instructions, please plan to arrive at the YVR office to pick up your registration card and arrival instructions in the box next to the YVR office door. New check in time: 4:00 PM. If possible, we prefer that you pay any amount due by check. If this is not possible, please be sure to write your debit/credit card number in the lower right corner of your registration card and then drop your registration card and check payment (if applicable) in the slot at the back side of the box.

Yachats is the Gem of the Oregon Coast and Mariners Cove is the Gem of Yachats! This charming two bedroom, one bath cottage is ideally positioned for the best views of Yachats's rocky coastline, and is one of the few homes in this area with easy access to the rocky shoreline at your feet. Just a short walk to the central village to the south and to the sandy beach via the 804 walking trail, you'll scarcely need a car once you unpack.

The cottage has been rebuilt in recent years in a great room design with beautiful alder millwork, Brazilian cherry floors inlaid with birdseye maple accents, two propane fireplaces plus electric heat, a well-appointed kitchen with propane cook stove, and stunning views up and down the coast and into the cove where waves crash, seals play and whales feed on a nearby reef. A vaulted, beamed ceiling adds to the spacious ambiance.

Mariners Cove sits on a 20 foot bluff above the sea with a stone staircase to the shore. A fenced yard protects the paving stone courtyard from the wind and the landscape features an abundance of flowers and artwork. Every aspect of this property, inside and out, has been thoughtfully groomed for your peace and pleasure.

You could hike down to the public Devil's Churn... or simply relax in your easy chair for a private floodlit view of the leaping waves right out your front windows... at Mariners Cove.
